Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Livermore, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing cash applications, collections, and account reconciliations while ensuring accurate tracking of aged receivables. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering the chance to work in a dynamic environment transitioning to more automated processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process daily cash applications and ensure timely posting of receipts.

• Generate invoices and customer statements with precision.

• Prepare and maintain allowance data for doubtful accounts, collaborating with business leaders to assess overall provision.

• Monitor aged receivables and coordinate collection strategies with team members.

• Create credit memos and issue refunds to customers as required.

• Reconcile intercompany accounts and communicate balances with affiliate entities.

• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies in coordination with the Customer Service team.

• Provide periodic reports on aging receivables, offering insights and recommendations to improve collection metrics.

• Partner with the treasury team to track collection progress and suggest improvements to reduce outstanding receivables.

• Ensure monthly account reconciliation and accurate reporting. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable or a related field.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and cash applications.

• Familiarity with commercial collections and customer invoicing processes.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems

• Ability to calculate allowances for doubtful accounts and track aged receivables.

• Skilled in investigating and resolving payment discrepancies.

• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and affiliate entities.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate and timely records.
