Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in McLean, Virginia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations and ensure accuracy in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will excel in managing reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and supporting month-end close activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of event accounting tasks, including settlements, event cost tracking, flash reports, and journal entries.

• Record payroll transactions in the general ledger, encompassing biweekly payroll entries and monthly accruals.

• Manage daily cash receipt postings to the general ledger with precision and timeliness.

• Conduct thorough account analyses at both facility and corporate levels to ensure financial accuracy.

• Process, review, and reconcile cash receipts while maintaining accurate accounts receivable records and cash journals.

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial statements.

• Review accounts payable invoices and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

• Perform additional accounting duties as assigned to support the department's objectives. Requirements

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation processes.

• Strong expertise in bank reconciliations and general ledger management.

• Experience preparing journal entries and conducting month-end close activities.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.

• Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations with attention to detail.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices relevant to the role.
