Job Details The Desktop Analyst serves as the primary on-site technical support resource for end users at Catholic Health facilities, with a specialized focus on supporting the Emergency Ambulance Service and Transfer Center. In addition to traditional desktop responsibilities, this role provides advanced technical expertise in assessing, deploying, and maintaining technologies that extend beyond Catholic Health’s standard inpatient architecture. The Analyst supports new business ventures, mobile command units, non-traditional care delivery sites, and emerging services requiring flexible and rapid deployment. This role ensures that innovative and often non-standard technologies are properly evaluated, implemented, and supported. A strong emphasis is placed on adaptability, technical judgment, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the success of these initiatives in fast-paced, mission-critical environments. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide responsive, high-quality technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and audio/visual equipment. Install, configure, and deploy end-user devices and software in accordance with CH standards and project timelines. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues through a combination of remote and on-site support. Provide tailored desktop support that aligns with the unique operational requirements of services operating outside traditional inpatient settings. Collaborate closely with DTS architects and vendor partners to ensure compatibility of new solutions with Catholic Health’s broader ecosystem. Serve as a hands-on technical advisor during the launch of new business ventures, including technology pilots, mobile care units, and outpatient command centers. Support the assessment and integration of new or non-standard hardware and software solutions associated with emerging services and field-based operations. Strong consultative skills to engage with clinical and operational leaders during early stages of service development, offering input on feasible technical solutions. Experience supporting dynamic or emerging business units where IT requirements evolve rapidly and require on-the-ground problem-solving and technical flexibility. Proven ability to assess, deploy, and support hardware/software platforms that deviate from standard technical builds, particularly in mobile, field-based, or pilot environments. Document all support interactions in the ticketing system, contributing to the knowledge base and best practices. Collaborate with other IT teams (Network, Security, Clinical Applications) for complex issue resolution and escalations. Support onboarding/offboarding processes by provisioning and decommissioning hardware and user profiles. Participate in hardware lifecycle management, including asset inventory and equipment refresh projects. Maintain a strong understanding of IT policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks including HIPAA, cybersecurity protocols, and CH IT standards. Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed. Act as a technical resource and mentor for junior analysts and new hires. Position Requirements and Qualifications: Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent are strongly preferred. Ongoing commitment to continuing education and staying current with emerging technologies. Skills and Experience: Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience in desktop support, field services, or end-user computing. Proficiency in supporting Windows OS (Windows 10/11), Microsoft 365 suite, and collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack). Strong understanding of desktop imaging tools, end-point management software, Active Directory, and group policy management. Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and familiarity with wireless troubleshooting. Ability to handle multiple priorities in dynamic healthcare environments, including hospital units and clinical spaces. Experience supporting Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting. Capable of working both independently and collaboratively to achieve shared goal Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs. Available for off hour support – 24 x 7 x 365 Salary Range USD $35.71 - USD $54.79 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
