Description
Are you passionate about accounting and eager to support a cutting-edge company in the biotech sector? Our client, an innovative leader in biotechnology, is seeking a Bookkeeper to drive their accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Maintain and update financial records, including daily transactions, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
+ Process vendor invoices and expense reimbursements while ensuring proper documentation and approval.
+ Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
+ Support month-end closing activities such as journal entries and financial report preparation.
+ Assist in tracking budgets, monitoring spending, and generating cost analysis reports for R& D activities and projects.
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP).
+ Respond to internal inquiries about financial data and transactions.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or certification in bookkeeping preferred.
+ Minimum 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally within the biotech, healthcare, or manufacturing sector.
+ Proficiency in using accounting software like QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Solid understanding of GAAP principles and general bookkeeping practices.
+ Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas) and familiarity with exporting/reporting data.
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience supporting a biotech company or working with grant-based funding.
+ Knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management systems.
+ Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
