Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Santa Rosa, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting payroll and tax-related processes. This opportunity offers a chance to collaborate with a dedicated team and contribute to the efficiency of accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile balance sheets to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.

• Manage payroll processes using systems such as Ceridian, Sage, or similar platforms.

• Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

• Analyze accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve transaction issues.

• Prepare tax documents and assist with inquiries related to tax compliance.

• Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all accounting practices.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and enhance accounting efficiency.

• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including transaction reviews and reporting.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and align financial records.

• Assist with month-end close procedures to finalize financial reporting. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.

• Strong analytical abilities with experience in account reconciliation and analysis.

• Familiarity with payroll systems like Ceridian or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation and tax preparation processes.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial data management.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.

• Understanding of GAAP standards and their application in financial reporting.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with strong organizational skills.
