    Job Title: Onboarding Coordinator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Onboarding Coordinator to join our team during a busy season focused on student visas. This role is a blend of backend and frontend work, serving as the primary point of contact for contractors regarding i9s, onboarding, and employee relations. Though the role is fully remote, candidates local to Troy, MI are preferred for occasional in-office collaboration.

    Responsibilities

    + Act as the primary point of contact for contractors throughout their assignment, fostering strong relationships.

    + Understand work-based immigration and visa sponsorship, including F1, H1, TN visas, and Green Cards.

    + Collaborate with Payroll Services Specialists to ensure accurate payroll processes.

    + Work with Immigration Specialists and Recruiters to assist in talent retention.

    + Create a distinctive onboarding experience for contractors.

    + Facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring communication and completion of requirements.

    + Conduct first week service calls to contractors at the start of their assignment.

    + Provide training on timesheet and expense entry.

    + Manage work order processes and rate confirmations with customers, including auditing and researching discrepancies.

    + Collaborate closely with the Payroll Team for timecard collection, ensuring timely and accurate payroll.

    + Work with internal HR on benefits, employee relationships, and 401k issues.

    + Identify and resolve contractor-related issues in collaboration with the Immigration Specialist.

    + Initiate and manage the Green Card process, including reviewing and analyzing resumes.

    + Perform rate and wage analysis and manage position postings.

    + Monitor expiration dates for H-1B visa holders and manage status extensions.

    + Communicate expiring work authorizations to customers for F1 students.

    + Manage and communicate RFEs and LCA compliance processes, ensuring document collection for audits.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in administrative or office settings.

    + Proficiency in customer service.

    + Strong computer skills, including basic Excel for tracking purposes.

    + Professionalism and effective communication skills.

    + Excellent time management and organizational skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Customer service experience from call centers or office settings preferred over retail/food industry.

    + Familiarity with various computer systems.

    Work Environment

    This is a remote position with preferred candidates residing near Troy, MI for potential in-office collaboration. The work hours are from 8am to 5pm EST, and necessary equipment like a laptop, monitor, headset, mouse, and keyboard will be shipped to your home.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
