Responsibilities

+ Perform complex welding assignments independently.

+ Set up and operate welding equipment for various tasks.

+ Utilize shop mathematics for layouts and planning work.

+ Set up and operate oxyacetylene torch and plasma cutter.

+ Conduct layout and fitting for large, critical, and complex welding assignments.

+ Perform quality checks using visual inspections and measurements.

+ Operate powered and hand-held drills, grinders, and saws.

+ Drive and operate trucks, forklifts, and boom lifts after receiving training and authorization.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of fabrication experience or a 2-year technical degree in welding.

+ Proficiency in steel fabrication, shear/brake press, and iron work.

+ Experience with MIG welding and blueprint reading.

Work Environment

The team is small, with a hands-on manager working alongside the team. Employees need to be adaptable, as tasks vary throughout the day. The custom work ensures a dynamic and engaging environment. The shift is from 7 AM to 4 PM, with adjustments during hot weather to ensure comfort and efficiency.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
