    Job Summary

    Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center is seeking a Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider

    Opportunity Highlights:

    + Inpatient Hospitalist APP Care

    + Provide cross coverage for floor and intermediate care patients

    + Provide cross coverage for any ICU admissions completed by APP during their shift

    + Schedule 7on/7off, 10:00pm 8:00am, Tuesday - Monday

    Candidate Qualifications:

    + Education: Master's Degree required.  Either a graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program, or NP or post Master’s NP program required. Acute Care certification required for NPs.

    + Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current PA or NP license in appropriate state required. NCCPA or registry with state nursing board, BLS, DEA registry required.

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    + Admitting role - Admit on average 2 patients per night (including ICU admissions)

    + Perform emergent lines (arterial lines, central lines)

    + Serve as lead on rapid responses and Code Blues on floor and intermediate care units (tele-ICU will typically lead code blue calls in ICU however, APP may be asked to assist)

    + Training would include a 4 week on boarding process at Presbyterian Medical Center. During this time, the provider will receive training in central lines and arterial line placement
