Job Description
Make a Real Difference When It Matters Most
Are you passionate about helping people through their toughest moments? Join our dedicated team as a **Mobile Crisis Specialist II** , where you'll respond to individuals in mental health crisis—either out in the community or onsite at University Health Emergency Department and clinics.
What You'll Do:
• Provide fast, focused mental health support to individuals in crisis
• Help people avoid unnecessary hospital stays or justice system involvement
• Work closely with a compassionate, skilled team to assess and stabilize situations
• Connect clients with the right resources and next steps for recovery
What You Need:
• A Master’s degree (or higher) in social work, counseling, psychology, family therapy, or a related field
• MO LMSW (if you're a social worker)
• If working in Behavioral Health Inpatient: BLS certification required
• Solid understanding of psychiatric terms, diagnoses, and crisis intervention
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Good judgment and flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Willingness to complete training and meet driving requirements if applicable
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Familiarity with community mental health systems, crisis intervention, and relevant laws (like civil commitment and guardianship)
