    Job Description

    Purpose of the Position

    The Loan Resolution Supervisor supports the department’s efforts to minimize financial losses by reducing delinquency rates, limiting write-offs, and increasing recovery efforts. This position is also responsible for coaching, training, and developing the collections staff to ensure strong performance and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Staff Leadership & Development

    + Supervise and support collections staff through coaching, training, performance planning, and regular feedback.

    + Monitor individual and team performance, assign work, and ensure departmental goals and service standards are consistently met.

    + Conduct performance evaluations and set clear expectations aligned with company objectives.

    + Foster a culture of continuous learning by identifying training needs and recommending development opportunities.

    + Operational Oversight

    + Ensure adherence to credit union policies and procedures.

    + Review delinquent loan inventory, assign accounts strategically, and track workflow to ensure timely and appropriate handling of accounts.

    + Recommend loan extensions or modifications to the Director for approval.

    + Technology & Vendor Management

    + Oversee systems and tools used within the department, including the collections platform, automated dialers, and related technologies.

    + Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring service quality and contract compliance.

    + Member Support & Escalation Handling

    + Resolve escalated member concerns related to delinquent accounts with a focus on member satisfaction and timely resolution.

    + Uphold and promote a positive member experience in all interactions, understanding that service excellence is a core value of the credit union.

    + Compliance & Ethics

    + Ensure all collection activity complies with applicable laws and regulations.

    + Support the credit union’s commitment to ethical behavior and integrity by promoting open communication, reporting concerns, and modeling high standards of conduct.

    + Other Responsibilities

    + Maintain regular, reliable attendance.

    + Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience required.

    + Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in collections, preferably within a credit union or financial institution.

    + Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

    + Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess trends and develop strategic responses.

    + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

     

    The pay range for this position is listed above. Our pay ranges are designed to allow for candidates with various levels of experience and skill to be considered, and to allow room for growth to be achieved in a role over time. Generally, new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their individual combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and education as well as internal equity.
