Summary

The Pharmacy Training and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for creation and implementation of pharmacy technician training programs for inpatient pharmacy technicians at Parkview Health. Focuses on several key areas of pharmacy technician training including production of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for in patient technicians, conducts routine training of new technician co-workers, and maintains technician training plans and competency evaluations. Engages in continuous process improvement initiatives, contributes to regulatory compliance and audit readiness, and works directly with the department scheduler to build and follow up on pharmacy technician training schedules. Serves as a role model and advocate for performance improvement in collaboration with co-workers across Parkview Health.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree required.

+ Must have current State Board license as a Pharmacy Technician for the State where services will be provided. National pharmacy technician certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcareer Association required.

+ Three years inpatient pharmacy technician experience required.

+ Experience in training and onboarding other co-workers required.

+ Experience in formal or technical writing preferred.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel required.

+ Good verbal and written communication skills.

+ Must have basic computer skills.

+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
