Radiology - Operations Manager - Danbury Hospital Outpatient

This role requires ARRT certification as well as radiology technologist experience. Only candidates with these requirements will be considered.

Summary:

Manages the daily operations of the department and supervises staff to include; training, development, hiring and performance assessment. In collaboration with the Director develops, implements and monitors systems, policies and procedures to maintain and improve quality, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for daily operations of the outpatient center including administrative, financial, compliance and technical components.

2. Supervises staff to include; training, development, hiring and performance assessment.

3. Insures compliance with all regulatory agency requirements including Joint Commission, ACR, and State of Connecticut.

4. Prepares and monitors budgets, inventory and purchasing of supplies. Implements cost control measures.

5. Responsible for overseeing operation of information management systems, including PACS and Cerner RIS.

6. Identifies need for and coordinates training of technical and support staff as needed.

7. Develops and implements an on-going marketing and public relations program.

8. Coordinates Performance Improvement activities.

9. In collaboration with the Director, develops and implements policies and procedures to insure quality, compliance, safety and customer service.

10. Monitors financial status, billing, reimbursement and compliance.

11. Insures safe environment for staff and patients.

12. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: ASSOCIATE'S LVL DGRE

Other Information:

Required: Minimum three years job-related supervisory experience.

Minimum Experience: five years

Desired: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Financial and billing background.

Working Conditions:

Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk

Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
