    Your Responsibilities:

    + Core responsibility is in sourcing news in a timely fashion

    + Adding news titles and sources to asana for writers to claim

    + Understanding of what makes a good news title/angle

    + Making judgements on what is flash news vs news vs something to spike to features

    + Ensuring news quotas are hit - understanding the times when it is appropriate to overrun, and when news can be passed on/passed to features

    + Assigning news articles/communicating with writers on news assignments

    + Editing news articles and prioritizing most timely edits

    + Prepping soft/niche news for weekends

    + Sending writer feedback/writer development

    + Writing news articles when needed (especially when fastest turnaround is required on breaking news)

    + Attending weekly team meeting

    Experience and Skills:

    + Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field.

    + 2 years of experience in producing entertainment and related content.

    + In-depth familiarity with and fierce passion for the entertainment industry, especially the latest Network TV news

    + Experience with SEO practices.

    + Experience with a custom CMS, preferred.
