Position Description
TheDepartment of Management (https://mgt.mccoy.txst.edu) in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University invites applications for a recently approved, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2026. The successful candidate for this position will regularly publish high-quality research in the management/supply chain domain.
A successful candidate will also teach undergraduate and/or graduate management/supply chain courses while engaging in service at various levels appropriate for this rank. Additionally, a successful candidate will have an interest in supporting initiatives of the university, college, and department related to various areas of management and supply chain.
About the Department of Management
The Department of Management is a highly collegial and intellectually vibrant group of approximately 30 full-time faculty. The department offers a B.B.A. in Management (with concentrations in Entrepreneurial Studies, Human Resources); offers a university-wide minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship; supports the college’s face-to-face and online M.B.A. programs; supports the college’s D.B.A. program (beginning in Fall 2025); and serves as the home of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Required Qualifications
Successful applicants must possess the following qualifications:
+ A doctorate in business, management, or a related business field from an AACSB -accredited institution by the date of hire.
+ A history of, or strong potential for, publishing in high-quality, peer-reviewed business journals commensurate with rank.
+ Experience of high-quality teaching of Supply Chain Management at the undergraduate or graduate level commensurate with rank.
+ A record of service commensurate with rank.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful applicants may also possess the following desirable qualifications:
+ Evidence of publishing in top-tier scholarly business journals, according to the Australian Business Deans Council ( ABDC ) Journal Quality List or the Chartered Association of Business Schools ( CABS ) Academic Journal Guide.
+ Evidence of a research interest in Supply Chain Management.
+ Experience in curriculum development.
+ A record of industry experience.
