The Western Kentucky University Psychology Department (www.wku.edu/psychology/) is seeking qualified applicants for appointment as a tenure-eligible Assistant Pedagogical Professor or Associate Pedagogical Professor with an anticipated start date of either Spring or Fall 2026.
Responsibilities for the position include teaching four undergraduate courses per semester, engagement in appropriate university service, and advising undergraduates. The Psychology Department is committed to increasing the diversity of the University community. Minimum Qualifications:
For appointment at the rank of Pedagogical Assistant Professor:
+ Earned doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology or ABD with ability to complete doctoral requirements prior to position start date.
+ Demonstrated excellence in teaching, service, and advising.
For appointment at the rank of Pedagogical Associate Professor:
+ Earned doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology.
+ Demonstrated excellence in teaching, service, and advising.
+ Five years of prior professional experience at the rank of Assistant Professor or Pedagogical Assistant Professor or comparable rank.
