Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a commitment to ensuring financial integrity across all processes.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely reconciliations and reporting.
• Analyze inventory costs, monitor transactions, and reconcile inventory accounts to the general ledger.
• Conduct cost analysis for raw materials, labor, and inventory, contributing to pricing strategies.
• Provide support for customer account management, including resolving discrepancies, processing refunds, and reviewing adjustments.
• Generate schedules and reports for the Chief Financial Officer to aid in financial statement preparation and tax filings.
• File monthly sales tax reports for applicable states and ensure compliance.
• Process biweekly payroll and maintain accurate attendance records for hourly employees.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, invoicing, collections, and fixed asset tracking.
• Collaborate on financial projects and uphold confidentiality to protect organizational value. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience with general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze inventory costs and reconcile accounts accurately.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage customer and vendor relations.
• Understanding of payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ensuring financial security.
