Description

Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital (located within Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center) is seeking a Dietitian 1 to join our Department of Nutrition. In this role, you will primarily provide medical nutrition therapy in specialized areas, including geriatric psychiatry, adult psychiatry, adolescent, and child psychiatry, including the inpatient adolescent eating disorder treatment program.

You may also be asked to provide medical nutrition therapy in specialized areas within the medical center, including Gastrointestinal (GI), Liver, Renal, Oncology, Cardiology, Organ Transplant, and Critical Care.

Responsibilities include:

+ Perform nutritional assessments, develop and implement care plans, and monitor patient progress.

+ Provide diet calculations and medical nutrition therapy based on patient needs.

+ Conduct patient education, including malnutrition assessments and Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE).

+ Offer ongoing nutrition education and support to patients and their families.

+ Document patient care in EPIC and utilize nutritional computation tools effectively.

Salary Range: $38.47-50.71/hr Qualifications

Required:

+ Certification as Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration.

+ At least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian preferred

+ Excellent computer and customer service skills.

+ Strong knowledge in malnutrition diagnosing and NFPE

+ Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Preferred:

+ Experience working in an academic setting.
