    Description

    Robert Half is recruiting for a Controller with DCAA ( Defense Contract Audit Agency) experience for an environmental client. The consultant will review the entire accounting process to make sure it is in line with GASB and DCAA requirements. In addition, the controller should have hands on experience with DCAA audits. This role is onsite located in Diamond Bar, CA.

    Technical Skills:

    - Ensure compliance with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) regulations, conducting audits and FAR/CAS reviews for government contracts.

     

    - Facilitate external audits with DCAA, DCMA, state/federal agencies, and Big 4 firms.

     

    - Introduce and implement internal controls, SOX compliance measures, and accounting policies in line with GASB/GAAP/IFAS standards

     

    - Serve as liaison between senior management and stakeholders regarding financial data.

     

    - Utilize expertise in government contract management, including proposal preparation and cost incurred analysis

     

    - Proven ability to restructure financial organizations and oversee financial development for defense-related companies

    Requirements • Solid experience with DCAA regulations and government contract compliance.

     

    • Proficiency in conducting audits and implementing GASB standards.

    • Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in defense or government sectors.

    • Proven ability to manage external audits with federal, state, and Big 4 firms.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Hands-on experience with financial restructuring and development within regulated industries.
