Job Summary and Qualifications
The ITG Manager of Credentialing serves as the resource and development manager for the product development team that designs, builds, maintains, and supports a suite of 10+ credentialing applications. This position establishes goals and priorities for the team and drives the execution of projects and work efforts in adherence to the phases and best practices within the software development lifecycle. This position will lead development teams through the design, development, configuration, customization and support of software related to product development and delivery. This position reports to and works closely with the Director in the development and evolution of strategy and processes in this mission critical area. They also work together to ensure continuity and alignment with HCA Healthcare’s corporate ITG strategies and Parallon strategic plans.
Responsible for the coordination and direction of a cross-functional team of developers, engineers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts on strategic programs, projects, and activities. Advises in future technology direction of systems. Leads in the relationship with vendors and business owners. This individual will be a key leader in the strategy going forward for credentialing.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the management of staff supporting multiple projects, products and services to meet overall vision for Credentialing and Parallon.
Communicates a clear vision for the team and leads the organization in achieving them.
Responsible for the development of staff through performance planning and monitoring of progress and ensures the staff follow processes and standards to achieve the needs of the business partners supported.
Provides direction on the design and roadmap for modernizing the existing applications. Evaluate current and emerging tools and technologies and provide recommendations.
Helps develop long range strategic plans for credentialing products.
Responsible for the full life-cycle process from design to development, testing, product release and maintenance.
Responsible for the quality of products by utilizing best practices and processes.
Willing to model the way and lead by example and have an unmistakably clear set of strong business and personal ethics.
Manages the strategic direction and day-to-day tactical delivery of the team’s projects and support of those applications.
Creates a positive environment for the team including open, honest communication and a clear path to escalate risks and issues. Acts as a coach who mentors, motivates and supervises project team members and contractors.
Implement and monitor team members’ individual performance plans.
Responsible for the growth of your team members’ professional careers.
Builds strong relationships with business operations leaders, subject matter experts, ITG leaders, vendors and staff.
Responsible for release management by providing oversight and activity planning for all application releases. Take into account operational support requirements including reliability, operability, 24X7 operation and automation.

EXPERIENCE
Relevant Work Experience
3 or more years
Other preferred/required experience:
Familiarity with ITG processes and the credentialing application suite
Management Work Experience
Less than 1 year
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Years of experience on increasingly challenging software development projects
Successful leadership experience
Thorough understanding of critical IT processes – project lifecycles & SDLC
Ability to communicate succinctly and in a variety of media
Strong collaboration, facilitation and negotiation skills
