UNC Physicians Network (UNCPN), in partnership with UNC Health Wayne, is actively seeking a **Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Surgeon** to join **UNC Surgical Specialists at Goldsboro** . This is a full-time position within a well-established, community-focused surgical practice providing high-quality care to adult patients across a broad range of general surgical needs.

Position Highlights

+ Full-time, outpatient/inpatient general surgery role (36 clinical hours + 4 administrative)

Qualifications

+ MD or DO from an accredited medical school

+ Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery

+ Active North Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain)

+ BLS and ACLS certification

+ Experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply

Education Requirements:

• Active member of the Rex Hospital Medical Staff, including meeting the Board Certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• DEA;MD

• BLS

Professional Experience Requirements:

• Prefer prior hospitalist experience.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

• Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.

REASONING ABILITY

High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Internal Medicine.
