Assistant Slot Shift Manager Arizona Charlie’s Boulder (Las Vegas, NV)
Description:
Summary: Assist the shift manager with the day to day operation and direct supervision of slot department during the assigned shift. Approve slot jackpots and fills. Monitor slot activity. Ensure staff is providing outstanding guest service. Handle any escalated guest and/or employee concerns. Safeguard company assets. Ensure department is following all gaming regulations and company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
+ Responsible for assisting the shift manager with the training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining and scheduling of assigned shift staff
+ Ensures staff is performing their duties in compliance and within gaming and department guidelines
+ Ensures plans for the effective use of labor are properly followed
+ Maintains positive working relationship with other departments
+ Works in conjunction with security and surveillance to detect any floor, employee, or customer irregularities
+ Approves slot jackpots and fills
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
+ Works calmly and professionally in busy work environment while effectively multi-tasking
+ Assists with escalated guest and/or employee issues
+ Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Minimum three years experience within a slot gaming operation
+ Previous management experience within a slot gaming operation preferred
+ Understanding of and experience complying with gaming regulations, both operations and technical standards
+ Working current knowledge of the various slot and video games, technology and equipment found on the casino floor
+ Working knowledge of documentation required in transactions including jackpots, hopper fills, ticket voucher redemptions, title 31, dispatch logs, machine entries, and machine repairs
+ Ability to operate equipment such as an adding machine, two-way radios, handheld voucher scanners, and any other specific tools required of the trade
+ Efficient using computers, including but not limited to Word and Excel
+ Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
+ Accurate money handling and documentation skills
+ Excellent guest service skills
+ Present a professional appearance
+ Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group situations, as well as one-on-one
+ Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
+ 21 years of age or older
+ High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements
+ Continuously walking and/or standing and working indoors (more than 50% of the time)
+ Occasionally sitting at a desk or table
+ Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 40 lbs
+ Bending, kneeling, climbing and using chemical agents (up to approx 25% of the time)
+ Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail
+ Hearing, vision (including peripheral), speech and literacy (critical)
+ Ability to work in a smoky, noisy environment with bright lights, some dust, &
+ hot and cold temperatures
+ Ability to communicate vocally utilizing portable radios and telephones (critical)
