    The dedicated providers and staff of JHHCMC NICU delivers comprehensive and compassionate care for premature and high-risk babies as well the entire family. Our goal is to offer a complete range of medical and surgical services in a manner that fosters optimal development of the newborn infant as well as incorporates the family into care-plan initiatives.

     

    We are seeking a Clinical Associate/Neonatologist to work collaboratively within the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology to provide clinical patient care to our patients. This is a non-faculty senior staff appointee position within the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Provide clinical patient care and on-site coverage/rotations, including attending deliveries in the JHHCMC NICU. The assignment of night/weekend call coverage will be comparable to the other attending physicians in JHHCMC NICU.

    + Expansion of clinical duties may also include Intermediate Care (IMC) and Newborn Nursery as needed, particularly during staff shortages.

    + Complete timely medical record documentation in Epic according to neonatology standards in preparation for billing, patient notes detailing patient services provided and billed, and other required documentation in order to remain compliant.

    + Provide medical direction and other administrative management services, teaching and research to other clinical staff.

    + Serve on clinical committees - divisional, departmental and/or hospital-wide.

    + Participate in Quality Collaboratives; JHMI system or state-wide level, e.g. MPSC NAS Quality Collaborative.

    + Participation in department and divisional conferences, lectures and faculty meetings.

    + Assist with review, updating, and/or developing new policies and clinical guidelines.

    + Actively participate in clinical research and/or community outreach as applicable.

    + Practice safe care.

    + Maintain compliance with all internal and external regulatory agencies.

     
     

    Credentialed at Howard County General Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital

     

    Salary: $205,000 - $300,000

    Job Type: Full Time

    The listed salary range represents the minimum and maximum Johns Hopkins University offers for this position, based on a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, market conditions, education, and internal equity. Not all candidates will qualify for the highest salary in the range.
