Description
Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Payroll Manager/Consultant with expertise in ADP Workforce Now to support a long-term project opportunity in Dayton, OH. This consultant will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient implementation of ADP Workforce Now configuration updates and structural changes across the client's payroll system. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise in ADP WFN, particularly in payroll setup, configuration, and compliance. This role is expected to last 1 year and will work a hybrid schedule with 2 days onsite at the client's office in Dayton, OH.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the configuration and implementation of a new payroll type for salaried non-exempt employees.
• Update overtime calculation rules to meet revised business requirements.
• Facilitate the merger of two organizational entities, ensuring the smooth transition of approximately 600 employees into unified paycodes.
• Develop and configure paycodes for newly formed entities within the system.
• Execute payroll system updates while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with payroll, HR, and project management teams to gather requirements, document processes, and perform system testing.
• Provide expert guidance on payroll best practices and address system-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges within payroll configurations.
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting throughout all stages of payroll-related projects.
• Drive continuous improvements in payroll processes by leveraging functional expertise.
Requirements
• Extensive experience in payroll management and system configuration with ADP Workforce Now.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex payroll projects, including mergers, paycode creation, and system integrations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, compliance requirements, and salary structures.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently on high-priority tasks.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving system issues related to payroll configurations.
• Familiarity with best practices for payroll processes and structural updates.
• Proven project management skills to ensure timely and accurate execution of payroll initiatives.
