Short Description
Bowman has an opportunity for a Project Controls Specialist III (Aviation) to join our team in Brea, CA. This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule and may include some travel.

Purpose
Provide project analysis and support for the client project team to ensure delivery of projects in a timely fashion and within allocated budget and schedule. Experience in the delivery of large aviation projects and programs is preferred.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
+ Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially on highly complex assignments. Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
At the Operational and Company Level
+ Assign tasks and coordinate work with project manager, engineers or other staff.
+ Provide guidance, motivation, support, and role modeling to less experienced staff.
Do the Work
+ Develop new techniques and/or improved processes to analyze project cost, productivity, and schedule.
+ Review project analysis on budget tracking, financial forecasting, project evaluation and monitoring, and challenges to ensure project supports goals and objectives.
+ Develop project forecasts and conduct budget and schedule variance analysis.
+ Review performance indicators and identifies areas that need remedy.
+ Determine and implement appropriate change management processes for the project.
+ Escalate and work to resolve issues that serve as roadblocks and/or place project objectives at risk.
+ Identify and provide visibility into trade-offs between options, while identifying recommended approach.
+ Perform project close-out steps to include identifying lessons learned/best practices to inform the success of future projects. Applies continuous improvement methodologies throughout the project management lifecycle.
+ In coordination with the PM, lead the customer relationship, including setting agendas and closing-out activities or action items.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration or related field.
+ Five or more (5+) years of relevant aviation projects and program delivery experience.
+ Proven ability to manage the project management life cycle.
+ Proficiency with project management tools (Primavera, SAP, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint).
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Salary and eligible variable compensation (if any) commensurate with experience. Range $130,000 - $140,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Physical Demands and Working Environment
+ Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
+ Mobility around an office environment.
+ Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
+ Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
+ Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
+ Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
