Join us as a Regulatory Risk Manager
+ In this key role, you’ll support NatWest Markets (NWM) in providing customers with commercially viable products that will meet their needs and keep the bank safe
+ You’ll make sure that regulatory compliance is monitored and maintained by appropriate horizon scanning and regulatory rules mapping with control and policy assessment
+ This is a prominent role, where your ability to develop stakeholder relationships will be as important as your risk management skills
What you'll do
As a Regulatory Risk Manager, you’ll support the execution of horizon scanning and regulatory mapping to identify and provide business impact assessments of new and changing regulatory rules, impacting our licence to operate, including ensuring an understanding of the impact of regulatory change on the businesses and managing accordingly. You’ll work across upstream risk and horizon scanning process to prioritise and deliver regulatory interpretation and mapping in line with group toolkits
We’ll look to you to support the evolution of the NWM upstream risk, horizon scanning process and model optimising approach and resource globally across first and second lines of defence. You’ll also provide the business area with technical interpretation of regulatory rules applicable to the function and their impact on its operating model.
In addition, you’ll:
+ Partner with key business stakeholders in the analysis and management of regulatory change and product governance
+ Support the management of our product and services governance framework which includes oversight of product taxonomy, cross border, and target market
+ Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and deliver interpretive impact assessments leading to remedial action plans where identified risks are considered out of appetite
+ Support management in their identification and assessment of material regulatory risks, and in determining their impact and applicability
+ Collaborate with the Compliance and Legal teams to ensure delivery of the Markets regulatory agenda
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need detailed knowledge of key UK EU market regulations as well as knowledge and experience of providing regulatory technical support and interpreting regulations for management. You’ll come with expertise in compliance or have experience of regulatory oversight in investment banking.
You’ll also need:
+ A strong understanding of global markets, operations, market products and the associated risks
+ The ability to analyse, understand and draw sound conclusions from a wide range of sources and information including MI
+ Experience of collaborative working, building relationships across multiple teams and levels
+ The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have good organisation skills to deliver to deadlines
+ Strong analytical and communication skills, with senior management reporting experience
The expected base annual salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 at the start of employment. This is not a guarantee of compensation. The exact compensation is determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on skills, experience, training licensure, certifications and location.
