    Introduction

     

    Join IBM's Salesforce Practice team as an Associate Partner, where you will be a key leader in shaping and proposing innovative solutions leveraging the power of Salesforce and IBM's Consulting AI and Asset based capabilities. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and develop compelling, tailored solutions that drive digital transformation within the healthcare and life sciences industries.

    Your role and responsibilities

    In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, combining your deep platform expertise with a strong understanding of healthcare & life sciences client needs and procurement processes. You will be a leader in sales & delivery including pre-sales activities, proposal development, and ensuring programs are delivered successfully and meet client expectations. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing project scope, budget, timeline, resources, and risks.

     

    The ideal candidate will have a blend of industry vision, hands-on sales and proposal development experience, and excellent communication abilities to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Collaborate with IBM account teams and clients to understand their mission, business processes, and technical requirements.

    * Help with presales activities such as how Salesforce can address challenges, conducting product demonstrations, working with internal sales teams, and qualifying leads.

    * Design and architect innovative, scalable, and secure solutions primarily leveraging the Salesforce platform, including Data Cloud and various Salesforce Clouds (Industry, Service, Marketing, Sales).

    * Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) that showcase the value of proposed solutions or recommend the most suitable Salesforce investment or product.

    * Lead technical discovery sessions and workshops with clients to refine requirements and validate solution designs.

    * Provide expertise on Salesforce best practices, architectural patterns, and integration strategies within a public sector context.

    * Advise clients on data modeling best practices within the Salesforce platform (SF Data Model) and how to leverage Data Cloud for unified data strategies.

    * Incorporate IBM's asset portfolio, including IBM Consulting Advantage and related Assets, into Salesforce-centric solutions where appropriate.

    * Respond to technical sections of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other procurement documents.

    * Stay current with the latest Salesforce product releases, certifications, and industry trends, particularly as they apply to the public sector.

    * Potentially mentor and guide junior technical resources.

    * Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders and IBM internal teams.

     

    Your work location of City, State was assigned based on business need and currently your role designated as a hybrid role. Hybrid roles are expected to perform their primary duties from a combination of IBM location, client sites or work at home. The required number of days to be in the office is to be determined by your management team. Any changes to this work arrangement must be preapproved by your manager before any changes are made.

    Required technical and professional expertise

    * 8+ years proven experience in consulting.

    * 5+ years of Salesforce healthcare & life sciences sales, solutioning and delivery experience.

    * Extensive experience implementing and/or architecting solutions using Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud within complex environments.

    * Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.

    * Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend a point of view to a variety of audiences.

    * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Speaks and writes with clarity, brevity, and purpose; explains the area of expertise clearly and confidently to others; influences and engages C-Level with authority and confidence.

    * A great listener with the ability to communicate with people in diverse roles.

    * Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems

    * Team player who is proficient at collaboration and working with members of a team

    * Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team.

    * Salesforce Certifications: examples include Health Cloud, Application Architect, System Architect, Data Cloud, Agentforce/AI.

     

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    * Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline. Equivalent demonstrable work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

    * Additional Salesforce certifications.

    * Experience with other relevant technologies and integration patterns.

    * Familiarity with healthcare-specific GxP compliance and security requirements like HIPPA, GDPR and state-specific regulations.

    * Experience with Agile methodologies.

    * Ability to convey and convince customers of best practices at various levels within a large organization
