Elevate Tax Operations through Strategic Innovation, Transformation and Technological Integration
We are seeking a dynamic Tax Process Transformation Specialist to be instrumental in how we approach tax reporting and compliance. In this role, you'll collaborate with tax, finance, technology, and strategic teams to gather requirements, design and implement solutions that streamline complex tax processes and drive organizational efficiency.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive process improvement strategies for tax reporting and compliance.
- Own, develop and manage multi-dimensional project plans, often more than one at a time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives and drive technological integration.
- Create detailed documentation of requirements, technical solutions, controls, use cases, and impact.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to project scope and timeline.

Your day will be a blend of program management, cross-functional collaboration, and innovative problem-solving. You'll engage with subject matter experts, technology teams, and stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, develop comprehensive project plans, and implement transformative solutions that scale with our business growth.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Bachelors degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of maintaining and operating transaction tax calculation software (e.g. Vertex) experience
- Experience with VBA, Python, SQL, or other database language
- Program/Project Management experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $172,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
