Description We are looking for an experienced Business Data Manager to lead data-driven strategies and analytics in support of organizational goals. This role is based in New York, New York, and requires expertise in credit strategy, collections performance, and portfolio monitoring, among other key areas. The ideal candidate will excel at transforming complex data into actionable insights while fostering collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee credit strategy performance analytics, including application funnel metrics, vintage analysis, and econometric modeling.

• Monitor collections strategy performance across multiple channels such as call, text, digital, and mail, while analyzing recovery and litigation outcomes.

• Conduct portfolio performance evaluations, focusing on specialized programs like loan modifications, settlements, and deceased accounts.

• Lead school monitoring initiatives by developing analytics and reporting frameworks.

• Perform advanced data mining and structuring to support strategy development and ad hoc analytics.

• Create and refine new methodologies for strategy development, ensuring alignment with business goals and data evaluation standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data quality issues while bridging technical and non-technical communication gaps.

• Partner with enterprise data technology teams to design scalable data infrastructure and ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.

• Develop and maintain curated data assets, including standardized business data layers for consistent reporting and analytics.

• Support data governance initiatives by maintaining the enterprise data dictionary and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity protocols. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services within an analytical or quantitative role.

• Proficiency in credit risk analysis, financial modeling, and data mining techniques.

• Hands-on experience with relational databases and analytical tools such as Python, R, Power BI, or similar applications.

• Strong understanding of analytical methodologies and problem-solving approaches.

• Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to understand complex systems and their broader implications.

• Advanced SQL query skills and familiarity with object-oriented programming languages like Python or C#.

• Proficiency in Microsoft or Google Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
