Description We are looking for a skilled Attorney/Lawyer to provide comprehensive legal support to business leaders, ensuring compliance with privacy, information security, and data protection regulations. This role involves offering strategic advice, reviewing and negotiating privacy terms, and interpreting global privacy and cybersecurity laws. This is a long-term contract position located in Waltham, Massachusetts, within the Hi-Tech Engineering industry.

Responsibilities:

• Provide actionable legal advice and solutions to address privacy, data protection, and information security compliance requirements.

• Collaborate with business owners to ensure regulatory and contractual privacy obligations are met.

• Offer strategic guidance to strengthen and maintain the company’s privacy programs.

• Draft, review, interpret, and negotiate privacy-related contractual terms with appropriate oversight.

• Conduct research on privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations to provide informed recommendations.

• Advise on privacy-related issues and ensure compliance with global standards, including GDPR.

• Exercise sound judgment to identify and escalate complex legal issues as necessary.

• Support the company in handling privacy-related disputes and consumer complaints.

• Develop and maintain internal documentation related to privacy and data protection policies. Requirements • Proficiency in privacy law, including knowledge of GDPR and other global privacy regulations.

• Experience with tools such as 3M, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.

• Strong skills in case management and handling civil litigation processes.

• Expertise in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts and legal documents.

• Demonstrated ability to manage privacy compliance and address privacy-related complaints.

• Familiarity with privacy programs and best practices in data protection.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to balance legal requirements with practical business considerations.
