Required Skills:
Reliability Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with a large breadth of cross-functional disciplines to understand emerging designs and technologies.
2. Identify risks associated with these various technologies and architectures.
3. Identify appropriate stresses products must pass and create test plans to assess the reliability products.
4. Producing timely and accurate reliability analyses and improvement suggestions.
5. Develop reliability requirements at system and module level for consumer facing hardware.
6. Lead and document FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis).
7. Develop acceleration models and accelerated tests capturing the Physics of Failure.
8. Develop new reliability test specifications, procedures and appropriate test plans.
9. Prepare detailed and concise reliability reports.
10. Influence cross-functional teams to implement mitigations for reliability risks.
11. Provide Design of Reliability and Architectural evaluations of new product categories.
12. Position requires up to 20% domestic and international travel.
Minimum Qualifications:

13. Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation
14. Requires 3 years of experience in the following:
15. 1. Material science and failure mechanisms of consumer electronics
16. 2. Industry test standards including ASTM, MIL, JEDEC, and IEC
17. 3. Managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
18. 4. FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
19. 5. Reliability testing and analysis through product lifecycle
20. 6. Developing and testing acceleration models
21. 7. Statistical analysis
Public Compensation:
$206,096/year to $231,110/year + bonus + equity + benefits
