Responsibilities:
+ Drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual Matterport planning cycles — bringing past experience to help scale our processes and ensure continued accuracy and analysis in each quarterly cycle.
+ Monthly reporting against the forecasts and budgets providing insights and analysis to assist the business leaders in improving financial performance.
+ Own and manage the Matterport corporate financial forecast model and assist with Long Term strategic financial planning
+ Serve as the business partner to Matterport’s R&D, Hardware, Product, Marketing, and G&A leadership providing sound financial guidance, analysis, reporting, & decision making
+ Own and manage Matterport’s product and project P&L projections and business cases with high predictability, considering all operational aspects and their impacts on the corporate financials
+ COGS forecasting and analysis for SaaS and hardware and develop recommendations for optimization
+ Continuously identify and communicate all risks and opportunities against the budget and/or forecast(s)
+ Bring a collaborative, hands-on approach to your work, developing open communications and productive work relationships across the Finance organization.
+ Develop financial models for new product introductions and work with product owners, marketing team, and engineering team on developing projections and ROI.
+ Financial analysis on an ad hoc basis
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
+ A track record of commitment to prior employers.
+ 3+ years FP&A experience in a public traded SaaS company
+ Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills and superior analytical skills
+ Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel
+ Prior experience in software engineering/technology a plus
