    Role Summary:

    The Senior Accountant – Integrations and Acquisition Accounting plays a critical role in supporting acquisition-related accounting activities, including purchase accounting, opening balance sheet preparation, and integration of acquired entities into our financial systems. This individual will work closely with all Business Operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and seamless integration of acquisitions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Acquisition Accounting Support (40%)

    + Review & Support the drafting of acquisition-related financial disclosures and documentation.

    + Upload and reconcile trial balances into NetSuite post-acquisition.

    + Collaborate with the Manager and external auditors to provide supporting schedules and audit documentation. Collaborate with legacy accounting team to understand roles and responsibilities; and ability to step into those roles if the need arises

    2. Integration Project Support (25%)

    + Assist with tracking integration milestones and maintaining organized documentation.

    + Coordinate with functional teams (e.g., FP&A, Legal, IT, Order Management) to collect data or resolve acquisition-related issues.

    + Participate in project meetings and provide status updates on accounting deliverables.

    3. Non-Integrated Entity Accounting (25%)

    + Perform month-end close activities for non-integrated entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

    + Review historical financial data from legacy systems (e.g., KTBR) for completeness and accuracy.

    + Identify and help resolve data integrity or system mapping issues before migration to NetSuite.

    4. Documentation and Process Improvement (10%)

    + Assist in documenting acquisition accounting procedures, workflows, and best practices.

    + Identify opportunities for streamlining acquisition accounting processes and improving internal controls.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.

    + 2–4 years of accounting experience

    + Public accounting or a corporate M&A environment preferred, but not required.

    + Familiarity with ASC 805 and general acquisition accounting principles.

    + Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Great Plains, QuickBooks).

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    What Success Looks Like:

    + Acquisition journal entries and opening balance sheets are prepared accurately and on time.

    + Integration milestones and accounting deliverables are consistently tracked and met.

    + Legacy entity close processes are efficient, accurate, and well-documented.

    + External audit requests are addressed promptly and thoroughly, with minimal rework.

     

    In office requirement: 3 days a week

     

    While we offer flexibility, this role includes an expectation of being onsite three days a week in our Tampa office to support team alignment and cross-functional collaboration.
