    A Typical Day

     

    Paralegal who specializes in handling subpoenas. Their responsibilities will include receiving, reviewing, and responding to subpoenas, managing deadlines, and collecting and organizing requested documents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Receiving and Reviewing Subpoenas: Checking the validity of subpoenas, ensuring they meet legal requirements

    + Managing Deadlines and Response Dates: Tracking deadlines for responses and ensuring timely compliance with subpoena requests

    + Collecting and Organizing Documents: Gathering and organizing the documents requested in the subpoena

    + Responding to Subpoenas: Preparing and submitting the necessary documents or appearing in court as required by the subpoena

    + Maintaining Confidentiality: Handling confidential information and ensuring the protection of sensitive data

    Skills and Experience:

    + Prior experience as a paralegal

    + Legal Research Skills: Ability to conduct legal research and gather relevant information

    + Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and track documents

    + Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with attorneys and other parties involved in the subpoena process

    + Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely compliance with subpoena requests

     

    What You’ll Bring

     

    + Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred

    + Knowledge of legal pleadings and ability to review and decipher allegations and issues

    + Knowledge pertaining to the legal process and procedures

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    + Proficiency with Loan Sphere and other mortgage servicing systems

    Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

    + Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role

    + Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

    + Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

     

    Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

     

    Salary

     

    $45,000 - $66,000
