    Children's Clinics is looking for a Per-Diem Childhood Experiences Coordinator.

    SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for supporting the Childhood Experiences program at Children’s Clinics, which includes annual signature events, adaptive recreation, and volunteers. Works closely with other members of the team to facilitate annual events, adaptive athletics, arts, and other related activities. Communicates with volunteers, community coaches, therapists, facilities, and other key stakeholders. Collaborates closely with Childhood Experiences staff, rehabilitative therapists, and volunteers to ensure the success of the program.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Coordinates key elements of the volunteer program, including volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and oversight of the day-to-day volunteer activities

    + Receives and processes requests for volunteer assistance, ensuring appropriate matches between available volunteers and clinic needs

    + Provides marketing and communications support for the childhood experiences program through social media posts, flyer design and distribution, and website maintenance

    + Provides administrative support for the childhood experiences program including maintaining volunteer- and program-specific reports and data and other administrative tasks as needed

    + Assists in program and event setup and execution, including volunteer check-in, registration, name tags, and other tasks

    + Collaborates with Childhood Experiences Supervisor and other key staff members to ensure the success of programs and activities, attending programming regularly and communicating with participants and their families

    + Coordinates community outreach initiatives, attending community events and/or arranging for staff/volunteers to attend to represent the organization

    + Performs other duties as required and assigned

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    + Knowledge of youth program activities and coordination

    + Skill in delegation, follow-through, and task completion

    + Skill in problem-solving, reasoning, and analysis

    + Skill and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications

    + Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation to accomplish tasks and achieve results

    + Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with diverse groups including patients, staff, volunteers, donors, and community members

    + Ability to multitask and perform a variety of administrative tasks as well as customer-service oriented tasks

    + Ability to engage, motivate, and train a diverse group of volunteers to carry out tasks that are positively impactful to the organization

     

    As a member of the Childhood Experiences team, the Coordinator will support the Childhood Experiences program at Children’s Clinics, which includes annual signature events and adaptive recreation. The Coordinator will work closely with and support the Childhood Experiences Supervisor to create impactful opportunities for the kids and families that we serve, support events, adaptive athletics, arts and other related activities; and support a robust volunteer program including pet therapy, weekly and special events volunteers. The successful candidate will be an experienced program coordinator who is innovative and charismatic; possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, time-management and organization skills.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

    Experience:

    One or more years of related experience required

    Licenses and Certificates:

    BLS required

    Category 1: Performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Use of appropriate protective measures should be required.

     

    Category 2: Performs tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue but employment may require performing unplanned Category 1 tasks.
