Job Description
Our client, a geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and testing firm, is looking for a Project Engineer who specializes in wind, solar, or transmission on-shore geotechnical projects. This individual will act as a subject matter expert for renewable energy projects across their 36 locations. This role will be responsible for preparing proposals for moderate to complex projects, reviewing field logs and soil samples for classification and boring log preparation. They'll make geotechnical recommendations and prepare engineering reports for Senior engineer's review. Working internally with the project managers, regional operations, and senior engineering teams with be a large but of the role. The project engineers assist the senior engineers in supporting client relationships to achieve wind market sector goals and strategies, perform various field testing and observations as needed, and assist field operations with technician training and review. Your role requires you to be action-oriented, manage time effectively and efficiently, and learn quickly. This branch is growing exponentially, and this position could be elevated and have junior engineers placed underneath them to learn the renewables sector.

Skills and Requirements
3 years of experience in geotechnical onshore renewable energy projects.
Bachelors degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering field required.
Professional Engineer registration/licensure or ability to obtain within two years.
Previous experience with large scale construction projects preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to travel up to 10% Five or more years of construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering experience preferred, but not required. null
