Kight Home Center (a division of Carter Lumber) is seeking a hands-on, experienced Glass Installation Crew Leader to oversee and participate in the installation of residential and commercial glass products — including windows, doors, shower enclosures, and specialty items. You’ll lead your team on-site while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements:

+ Previous hands-on installation experience (windows, doors, shower glass, and fireplaces preferred)

+ Proven leadership or supervisory experience on job sites

+ Strong knowledge of building materials, tools, and local codes

+ Ability to read blueprints and work from both verbal and written instructions

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to deadlines

+ Strong math and measurement abilities

+ High attention to detail, work ethic, and professionalism

Responsibilities:

Site Leadership & Installation

+ Supervise and participate in the installation, repair, or replacement of assigned products, with a focus on glass-based applications

+ Assess jobsites prior to work to anticipate challenges, confirm readiness, and ensure quality installations

+ Promote and uphold safety protocols for all crew members and maintain a clean, hazard-free worksite

+ Ensure full compliance with building codes and proper installation techniques

Customer Service

+ Deliver exceptional service by managing installations with professionalism

+ Respond to customer questions or concerns with patience and expertise

+ Represent the Kight Home Center brand by modeling company values on every job site

Knowledge & Training

+ Responsible for acquiring the training needed to install the product safely and efficiently.

+ Responsible for becoming certified in the product/area that is being installed to ensure that we are providing the best service to our customers.
