    Position Overview: Grades 1–6 History Teacher

    Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable LGI (Large Group Instruction) History Teacher for Grades 1–6. This role involves delivering whole-class instruction and working collaboratively with grade-level teams to promote academic excellence and student growth across disciplines.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction using the school’s rigorous History curriculum

    + Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and inform instructional planning

    + Analyze data to identify student needs and adjust teaching strategies accordingly

    + Contribute to ongoing curriculum development and grade-level collaboration

    + Establish and maintain high academic and behavioral expectations, consistently reinforcing school-wide norms

    + Take ownership of student learning and ensure mastery of essential content

    + Communicate regularly and professionally with students, families, and colleagues

    + Participate in a mandatory three-week summer staff training and orientation program
