Description We are looking for an experienced Java Software Developer with expertise in Spring Framework to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will work on developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining production-level Java applications within a collaborative and dynamic environment. This position is based in West Des Moines, Iowa, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale enterprise projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality Java applications, leveraging Java 8+ and Spring Framework technologies.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

• Write and debug complex SQL queries, and troubleshoot stored procedures to support application functionality.

• Design and implement automation scripts and file processing solutions to streamline workflows.

• Handle exception management and incident triaging for large-scale enterprise environments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RESTful APIs and third-party systems.

• Participate in improving legacy applications and contribute to modernization efforts.

• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices through testing and peer reviews.

• Provide clear and precise communication in both independent and team settings.

• Support Agile Scrum workflows and contribute to sprint planning and execution. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a relevant area.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Java programming, preferably Java 8+.

• Proficiency in Spring Framework technologies such as Spring Boot and Spring Data.

• Strong expertise in SQL, including writing complex queries and troubleshooting stored procedures.

• Experience supporting production Java applications with a focus on troubleshooting and operational support.

• Familiarity with file processing, automation scripts, and exception handling in enterprise environments.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and resolve incidents.
