Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to oversee and manage payroll operations for our driver workforce. This role will focus on ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing while identifying opportunities for improvement and providing leadership to the payroll team. Located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, this position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the daily payroll operations for drivers, ensuring weekly payments are processed accurately and on schedule.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the payroll team, including training, performance monitoring, and mentorship.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, reconciling reports and auditing records to ensure accuracy.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
• Administer wage garnishments in line with company policies and legal requirements.
• Prepare and present detailed payroll reports to senior management as needed.
• Audit manual payroll entries, collaborating with internal teams to address root causes and improve processes.
• Manage driver bonus programs, including sign-on, referral, safety, and fuel incentives, ensuring compliance and accurate payments.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline payroll operations and maintain data integrity. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, ideally within the transportation or logistics industry.
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as Workday; experience with ADP systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong analytical skills.
• Proven leadership ability, including excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of wage garnishments and bonus program administration.
• Experience with full-cycle payroll processes and reporting.
