Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor for Registration and Student Relations, the primary duty of this position is to process the assignment of classroom space for approved academic and non-academic requests. Respond to inquiries concerning course scheduling and registration issues. Serve as a back-up in the absence of the Supervisor for Registration and Student Relations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

+ Coordinates the assignment of University classrooms for academic and non-academic requests.

+ Serves as primary point of contact for academic departments requesting classroom space. Processes classroom and event information into the University space utilization software.

+ Assist students, faculty, and staff with course scheduling and registration issues.

+ Assist the campus community during the academic units schedule entry period.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

+ Working knowledge of PeopleSoft.

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

+ Ability to work with multiple departments across campus.

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ability to use Microsoft Word.

Preferred Qualifications

One to two years experience employed in a higher education environment. Working knowledge of student records module with in PeopleSoft and familiar with Ad Astra scheduling software.
