    Description of Work Unit

    The Translational Neurological Lab supports individuals who have neurological disabilities, such as brain injury or stroke. The lab is located at the CSU Spur Campus in Denver.

    Position Summary

    A yoga teacher will deliver an already developed yoga protocol to individuals with brain injury and their caregivers. The yoga intervention will occur over eight weeks in the fall semester. The number of hours weekly are between 3 and 6 hours for 8 consecutive weeks. Training will be provided and assistants will be included to maintain safety and enhance movement through yoga postures.

    Position Minimum Qualifications

    + Registered Yoga Teacher ( RYT ) training with 200 hours plus additional training or experience with individuals with neurological disabilities.

    + Yoga teacher with experience working with individuals with brain injury or other neurological disabilities.

    + Teacher must be able to teach live yoga sessions in Denver at the CSU Spur Campus.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Yoga therapist or adaptive yoga teacher or adaptive yoga specialist.

    + RYT with additional hours of training.

    + The yoga teacher may also be involved with delivering education and supporting research study participants during the study intervention.
