Our PPD® Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry thought-leaders and therapeutic experts. A day in the life:
+ Acts as the primary subject safety contact for all study participants in the clinic.
+ Provides both emergent and non-emergentbasicmedical care within the scopeofpractice to all study subjects.
+ Monitors and record Adverse Events (AEs), reviews all active AEs prior to dosing, and determinessubject safety in consultation with medical staff.
+ Performs technical procedures including blood collection, vital signs, and ECGs.
+ Assesses out of range values for symptomology and medically intervenes if necessary.
+ Performs forms of basic dosing including oral, inhalation, and nasal.
Keys to Success:
Education:
+ High/Secondary school diploma orequivalent and relevantformalacademic/vocational qualification.
+ Certified or licensed EMT/LVN or Medical Assistant and American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.
Experience:
+ Previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
+ Skilled in scopeofpractice including Basic Life Support.
+ Solid interpersonal and attentiontodetail skills.
+ Strongverbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to effectively managecomplex tasks and potentialemergencymedicalsituations.
Working Conditions and Environment
+ Work is performed in an office or clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
+ Frequently works long hours, varying shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.
+ Fast-paced work under varying time constraints with multiple priorities.
+ Frequent exposure to bio-hazardousmaterial,infectious diseases and/or illnesses.
+ Personal protective equipment required such as eyewear, garments, and gloves.
Physical Requirements
+ Occasionally stationary for 1-2 hours per day.
+ Repetitive hand movements with both hands.
+ Frequent mobility and occasional crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting.
+ Light to moderate lifting and carrying of up to 15-20 lbs.
+ Ability to use and communicate information via computer software.
+ Regular and consistent attendance required.
