Job Description:
The Department Secretary performs routine and non-routine duties requiring highly advanced secretarial skills and proficiency for the Department of OB/GYN and in support of the Highland Women’s Health (HWH) providers. This includes administrative details and duties requiring well-developed computer skills. Works collaboratively with the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of OB/GYN and Sr. Program Administrator to ensure tasks and objectives are met. Responsible for reconciling hospital charges for Labor & Delivery, tracking due dates for medical licenses, DEA licenses, CME, etc. for both HWH physician and non-physician providers, and attending to the clerical and administrative needs of the OB/GYN and Highland Pediatrics departments. Coordinates services and equipment necessary to enhance operations.
Salary Range:
$19.50- $25.77 an hour

Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._

Job Requirements:
1. Education: Associate’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
2. Experience: 2-3 years relevant experience, preferably in a health care setting with some knowledge of billing processes.
3. Skills: Able to demonstrate critical thinking, strong interpersonal communication skills, and high functioning organizational skills. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is preferred.
