Work Schedule:
+ Flex full-time schedule that can range between 28-40 hours per week, depending on business needs. Scheduling discussed in advance!
+ 8-hour or 10-hour shifts between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday!
+ Occasional on-call hours (evenings after 5 p.m. and weekends) through team rotation.
+ NO travel!
Interventional Radiology is an integral part of hospital Imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department patient care! Responsibilities:
+ Identifies all patients properly, reviews patient history, assesses physician orders, and documents patient history in electronic record, as required.
+ Exhibits a clear understanding of correct patient preparation, equipment operations, and patient monitoring systems.
+ Administers contrast, properly positions patients, and uses independent judgement to select radiographic techniques for all interventional procedures.
+ Utilizes aseptic techniques during procedures and maintains patient safety with the incorporation of a time-out process.
+ Communicates instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner, and explains procedures to help allay the patients’ fears and solicit their cooperation.
+ Ensures all exams are properly coded, tracked, and networked through appropriate systems.
+ Ensures all charges are entered properly for the exams performed.
+ Demonstrates the ability to interact with both patients and coworkers while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect.
+ Support other departments performing general radiographic procedures, if needed.
+ Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of hire.
+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewals
