We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Set-Up Machinist to join our dynamic team in Grantsburg, WI. As a Set-Up Machinist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our machining operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate various types of machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications.

+ Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.

+ Adjust machine settings and tooling as necessary to achieve desired tolerances.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues.

+ Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications

+ High School diploma or equivalent required. Specific technical training or vocational training is preferred, but not required.

+ 8+ years of machine set-up experience required.

+ 15+ years of machining experience required.

+ Computer programming and CAD/CAM experience required.

+ Advanced blueprint reading and granite plate measuring skills required.

+ Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)

+ Knowledge of DOD and/or aerospace manufacturing preferred

+ Possess strong organization and communication skills.

+ Knowledge of Quality assurance practices and procedures, including both ISO 9001 and AS9100

+ Knowledge of Government contracting requirements.
