    We are presently seeking a QA Technician that will perform various optical fabrication processes including but not limited to beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and inspection/measurements.

    Main responsibilities:

    + Performs basic shaping process steps on medium difficult parts.

    + Beveling - capable of fabricating polished, double, and off-angle asymmetric bevels

    + Blocking - pitch button, Norland transfer, steep singles, cold blocking, contacting, and alignment

    + Grinding - Steep radius, cylinder, tight wedge, continuous

    + Polishing - spindle, CP, double side, CNC polish

    + Slurry Maintenance - maintains and measures established Baume and PH levels

    + Pour pitch lap, cuts and grooves lap

    + Advanced print reading skills - can read and comprehend all fabrication specs

    + Measurement skills include - Basic Zygo, understanding of fringe pattern, microscope, stereoscope, surface quality inspection, fiber light

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    + High School Diploma or GED preferred.

    + Basic Math skills

    + Teamwork - the ability to work effectively and contribute to the team

    + 2 years of optics experience preferred.

    Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

     

    Our facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines. This facility specializes in the manufacturing of ultra-precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub-assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense.

     

    This site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.
