    Job Summary

    Working as the HR Generalist you primary will be to support the Human Resources function so that it meets both the needs of the business and of our associates. The HR manager will take the lead role in all of the following functional areas: associate relations, HR specific training, HR legal requirements and compliance, development and revision of HR policies and procedures, associate engagement survey action plan follow up, performance and merit increase monitoring, hiring non-exempt associates and managing data associated with bonus administration.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Coordinates and conducts management training related to this area (i.e.: terminations, sexual harassment, and managing performance)

    + Investigates and advises management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues

    + Content expert regarding policies, procedures and programs

    + Coordinates/conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations

    + May represent organization at personnel related hearings and investigations

    + Supports internal customer survey and associate satisfaction interpretation/feedback process

    + Attends RVP/RDO meetings to increase HR transparency

    + Assists with training related to the areas of interviewing, selection and hiring

    + Assists managers in developing and implementing recruitment plans to increase qualified applicant flow

    + Supports Sector and provides direct assistance and support in critical markets

    + Coordinates and conducts new hire orientation and management training

    + Conducts HR Assessments/Audits

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree preferred

    + 2-5 years multi-unit HR generalist and associate relations experience preferred

    + Experience in a high customer contact setting

    + PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP desirable

    + Experience in Employee Relations required

    + Previous Operations experience helpful

    + Thorough knowledge of all housekeeping practices and procedures

    + Strong work ethic, intense drive and initiative for quality and customer service

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills

    + Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

    + Excellent administrative, organizational and problem solving skills and an ability to prioritize tasks at the same time

    + Ability to use a participative approach to managing staff

    + Ability to function appropriately under stressful conditions
