**VCA Beech Road Animal Hospital** is growing their Patient Care Team and seeking a Full-time **Veterinary Assistant** !

The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering exceptional patient care. This role includes clinical, customer-service, and administrative duties, ensuring a smooth and compassionate patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

+ Safely restrain and position patients for exams, diagnostics, and treatments.

+ Monitor and record vital signs, weight, behavior, and comfort levels.

+ Administer medications and topical treatments under supervision.

+ Clean and sanitize surgical areas.

+ Greet clients and pets, answer phone calls, and schedule appointments.

+ Educate clients on wellness, nutrition, parasite prevention, and home care.

+ Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and organized. Sanitize treatment areas, exam rooms, wards, and common areas.

+ Process lab work: label specimens, prepare for shipping, and record results

Schedule:

+ Full-time, 4 x 10 hour shifts ; with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ Experience working with animals in veterinary hospital
