    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of preventive and corrective maintenance activities primarily on industrial machining and fabrication equipment such as welders, grinders, press brakes, lathes, mills, and shears at multiple site locations.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.

    + Troubleshoot and perform corrective maintenance and repairs.

    + Order parts for both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

    + Maintain detailed records of preventive and corrective maintenance services for each piece of equipment.

    + Support the leads and foremen at each shop, ensuring that shop equipment is in good working order.

    + Support field teams by performing repairs on customer equipment at customer locations when needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in maintenance technician roles.

    + Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting.

    + Mechanical and repair skills.

    + Preventive maintenance expertise.

    + PLC troubleshooting capabilities.

    + Experience in electrical and mechanical repair on equipment such as welders, grinders, press brakes, lathes, mills, and shears.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School diploma or equivalent.

    + Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

    + Ability to resolve equipment maintenance issues successfully.

    + Preferred experience in welding.

    + Knowledge of PLCs, relay switches, and industrial control systems.

    + Ability to safely work with both low and high voltage electrical components.

    + Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

    + Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

    + Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including overtime and on-call assignments.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment frequently includes loud machine noises, with risks of cuts, abrasions, electrical shock, vibration, and pinch points from high-speed cutting and pressing devices. Personal Protective Equipment, engineering controls, defined procedures, and specialized training are provided to reduce hazard exposure risks. The role requires regular communication, standing, walking, reaching, and handling tasks. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Greensboro, North Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
