Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Pathology has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Computational Pathology. The position will be based at the University of Utah School of Medicine, ranked among the top 30 public research universities in the nation. In this position you will have the opportunity to work side by side with other world-class professionals, develop your skills, and grow your career.
This position entails a collaborative component with the Institute of Scientific Computing and Imaging and the Department of Radiology. Projects are focused on multi-modal medical image analysis for computational biomarker development and leverage large data sets from the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the Salt Lake City VA.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should have a PhD in Computer Science, or a closely related field and must have research experience in medical image analysis, including the analysis of pathology images using AI and histopathology Foundation models.
The ideal candidate will have an interest to pursue a career in health care applications of medical image analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will give you the unique chance to actively drive research projects to predict clinically important endpoints using your knowledge in algorithm development. You will be part of a growing, interdisciplinary team and join weekly meetings with faculty in Computer Science, Pathology and Radiology to discuss your ideas. You will also have opportunities to teach and to develop a portfolio of publications in medical journals.
